RESPONSIBILITIES
The Design Convergence Lead (DCL) engineer is responsible for the development and implementation of interior and exterior vehicle build requirements from concept phase through tooling kickoff. The DCL is responsible to:

  • Lead cross functional team with the product design office, metafunction engineering, quality, and external suppliers to define and converge gap and flush engineering requirements
  • Understand and apply the requirements of the companies Customer Audit
  • Analyze CAD data and tolerance stack up results to ensure correct application of the companies perceived quality design rules
  • Manage project deliverables and KPIs
  • Ensure appropriate escalation of issues

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automotive or related from an ABET accredited or equivalent program.
  • 1-5 years of experience with quality engineering preferably with exterior or interior trim
  • Ability to travel to the USA for meetings.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
