Job Title: Controls Engineer for power generation stations
Location: Charlotte, NC 28202
Pay Rate: $53.00 per hour

* Provide technical support for Project Implementation teams at various power generation stations.
* Participate in field inspections and testing activities at appropriate frequencies to enhance construction, commissioning, and operational support of Station projects
* Establish technical requirements for conducting reviews and gaining acceptance of design modifications of electrical systems and equipment
* Offer ideas and suggestions to reduce costs while maintaining overall quality of the engineered solutions, including constructability and ease of operability and maintenance
* Serve as technical liaison between power generating fleet and Subject Matter Experts for highly complex issues
* Maintain relationships with plants, outside consulting engineering firms, maintenance shops, and equipment manufacturers.

Required
* Bachelor's degree in engineering
* Experience supporting generating facilities (coal, combined cycle, natural gas, and simple cycle)
* Experience in various Distributed Control System (DCS) Platforms such as Emerson Ovation, Siemens T3000, etc.
* Experience with PLCs
* Experience with various communication protocols such as MODBUS, TCP/IP, serial, etc.
* Experience with data links/interface devices such as MODBUS, PLCs, RTAC, TCP/IP, etc.
* Experience with Microsoft Windows and Windows Servers.
