Bilingual Production Supervisor - Automotive

Our client has engaged us to assist them in hiring a contract Bilingual Production Supervisor. Hourly pay range $ 42.00-44.00/hour
ONSITE: Evenings 15:30 to 0:00. Candidate could be weekend work. Once every 6 or 9 months of weekend work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be able to manage a team of 12-15 people, update and follow up on all safety, quality, and productive results daily.
• Side by side working with Operation Supervisors on the floor.
• Responsible for GMS; General Manufacturing System - check progression/analysis throughout day/week/month.
• Responsible for meeting expectations (quality, etc.), receive feedback from employees / manage team, detail oriented and have floor function.
• Staff of about 12 employees in the Warehouse, distribute parts, receive material that comes in and has 3 days to put it away.

SKILLS

• Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  

• BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  High school diploma or GED required.
• Fluent in French and English

• Associate degree in business or related field preferred.

• 8-10 years' experience required.
• Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
• Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
• Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect production problems.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
