Location: Louisville, KY
Pay Rate: $36.50 - $37.94/hour
Position Type: Long-Term Contract
Work Schedule: Rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
Work Environment: Fully Onsite

Position Overview
We are seeking a Material Planning & Logistics (MPL) Supervisor to provide frontline leadership within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for leading hourly employees, ensuring operational excellence, and driving safety, quality, and productivity objectives. The ideal candidate is resilient, detail-oriented, ambitious, and demonstrates a high level of integrity and accountability.
Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and develop an hourly workforce within a manufacturing environment.
  • Organize daily workflow and staffing to meet production, quality, and delivery requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and promote a culture of workplace safety.
  • Monitor production activities to verify lines are operating safely, efficiently, and producing quality products.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts and support achievement of team and company performance goals.
  • Lead through servant leadership principles by setting high expectations, providing support, and empowering team members.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with hourly employees, union representatives, and management teams.
  • Address operational issues through effective problem-solving and decision-making.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in a Material Planning & Logistics (MPL) or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including:
    • Excel
    • Word
    • PowerPoint
    • Outlook
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment.
  • Continuous improvement or lean manufacturing experience.
