RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a customer-focused Software Engineer Controls professional to support connected vehicle quality initiatives. This role will serve as the Voice of the Customer, helping drive the resolution of customer quality concerns and improve connected vehicle experiences through data-driven analysis and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Act as the Voice of the Customer while maintaining a customer-centric mindset and approach.
  • Monitor, prioritize, and drive actions to address customer quality concerns from multiple sources, including fleet customer critical issues and business account feedback.
  • Lead investigations and resolution activities related to connected vehicle quality metrics and performance concerns.
  • Analyze connected vehicle data to identify emerging issues, support prioritization efforts, and improve customer experience.
  • Utilize data analytics and large data sets to investigate trends, validate theories, and drive corrective actions.
  • Support the development and maintenance of a comprehensive Quality Framework for Connectivity Features.
  • Benchmark quality performance internally and externally while developing action plans to improve quality indicators.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and technical organizations to address customer concerns and improve product quality.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and reduction of manual quality management activities.
  • Track, investigate, and resolve quality issues using data-driven methodologies and reporting tools.
  • Support quality reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics to improve visibility and decision-making.
  • Leverage connected vehicle insights to strengthen traditional quality metrics and customer satisfaction outcomes.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience resolving customer quality issues.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in data analytics, reporting, and dashboard management.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience querying and analyzing large datasets to support investigations and problem-solving.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with data analysis, data integrity, reporting, and business analytics.
  • Familiarity with connectivity technologies, embedded software, telematics, and fleet management environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience handling connected vehicle quality concerns.
  • Experience using JIRA or similar issue-tracking tools.
  • Telematics and fleet industry experience.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Quality, Reliability, FMEA, Design of Experiments (DoE), or Taguchi methodologies.
  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification is considered an asset.
  • Understanding of vehicle electrical architectures and automotive systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and drive quality-focused initiatives.
  • Demonstrated resilience and adaptability in evolving environments.
  • Experience with benchmarking, quality engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives.
