Production Supervisor
Location: Kokomo, IN
Pay Rate: $35.00/hour
Shift: Must be open to 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, including weekends and overtime as needed.

Position Overview
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading small work teams in a fast-paced, high-volume, unionized manufacturing environment. This position ensures daily targets for safety, quality, cost, and delivery are achieved while fostering a high-performance, safety-focused culture.

The role requires close coordination with cross-functional teams and consistent application of workplace policies and procedures. Initial training may be conducted on first shift; however, placement will likely be on 2nd or 3rd shift. Candidates must be flexible and willing to work any shift, including weekends, to support production and overtime requirements.
Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead 30-40 hourly employees in a manufacturing environment
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels, including managing call-offs and work reassignments
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, WCM, SIS, Kaizen, or similar methodologies
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members to improve performance and productivity
• Collaborate with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
• Enforce workplace policies and work rules consistently
• Support positive labor-management relations
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues in a timely manner
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence

Required Qualifications

• Proven supervisory or people management experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Willingness to work any shift, including overtime and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience (highly preferred)
• Experience leading production teams or crews
• Previous experience working in a union environment
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, World Class Manufacturing (WCM), Kaizen, SIS, or other continuous improvement methodologies
