Engineering Data Analytics Specialist - Powertrain Programs


The Engineering Data Analytics Specialist - Powertrain Programs supports Technical Value Management (TVM) initiatives across powertrain engineering organizations by providing data analysis, reporting, dashboard development, and project tracking support. This role enables engineering teams to achieve cost-reduction objectives through actionable insights derived from engineering and cost-related data.
The ideal candidate possesses strong Power BI expertise, advanced analytical capabilities, and the ability to transform large datasets into executive-level reporting and business intelligence solutions. This individual will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, product development, and program teams to monitor cost-saving initiatives, track implementation progress, and enhance reporting efficiency across the organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze engineering and cost-related datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Perform data mining, trend analysis, and data interpretation to support business objectives.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Create executive-level visualizations, scorecards, and performance reports.
  • Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and data accessibility.
  • Track cost-saving initiatives, project milestones, and implementation status.
  • Support engineering review meetings through reporting, analytics, and status updates.
  • Improve reporting methodologies and increase visibility into program performance.
  • Develop standardized metrics, KPIs, and reporting frameworks.
  • Ensure data integrity by validating data accuracy and consistency across reporting systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable business insights and support decision-making.

Required Qualifications


  • Minimum 3 years of experience in:
    • Data Analysis
    • Reporting and Business Intelligence
    • Engineering Analytics

  • Experience supporting one or more of the following:
    • Engineering organizations
    • Manufacturing organizations
    • Automotive organizations
    • Product Development organizations

  • Experience managing and analyzing large datasets.

  • Experience creating executive-level dashboards and reports.

  • Experience developing reporting metrics, KPIs, and analytics tools.

  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams, projects, and program activities.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Power BI and data visualization best practices.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Automotive industry experience.
  • Powertrain engineering support experience.
  • Experience supporting Technical Value Management (TVM) initiatives.
  • Experience supporting engineering cost-reduction programs.
  • Advanced Power BI development experience.
  • Experience with Power Query and DAX.
  • Experience utilizing workflow automation tools.
  • Experience leveraging AI-driven reporting and analytics solutions.
