Location: Avon Lake, OH - Ohio Assembly Plant (Onsite, 5 days/week)
Pay: $43.50-46.40
Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Morning)
Duration: 12+ months
About the Role
Serve as the first line of defense on vehicle quality, directly impacting customer satisfaction and brand reputation. This role provides on-site engineering support to the assembly plant, focused on Wiring/EDS systems across warranty, quality, and production launch activities.
What You'll Do

  • Support warranty claim triage and root-cause analysis using connected vehicle data and plant metrics (EOL, QLS)
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve EDS/Wiring issues tied to warranty, First Time Through (FTT), ergonomics, and Stop Ship/Stop Build events
  • Implement Interim and Permanent Corrective Actions (ICA/PCA) to protect production and the customer
  • Build and present structured problem-solving documentation (8D, A3, 5 Why, Fishbone) at plant quality forums (FQR, DQR, VQR)
  • Lead the Variability Reduction Team (VRT) for FH sub-systems, partnering with Manufacturing, Product Development, and Site Technical Assistance
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues found during in-plant testing and final inspection
  • Manage minor product launches and initiate engineering design changes (WERS Concerns/Alerts)
  • Support plant trials for quality, cost, and supplier-driven improvements
  • Participate in vehicle pre-builds and new model launch support

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in Electrical Wiring
  • 5+ years in Product Development, Quality, Program, or Manufacturing Engineering in automotive
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional influence skills
  • Self-starter, able to work autonomously
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred

  • Circuit Design, Manufacturing Engineering, or Six-Sigma experience (Black Belt/Green Belt)
  • Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Automotive plant quality/launch experience
