Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Customer Support Engineer to act as a critical link between our manufacturing facility and the customer plant. This role focuses on ensuring seamless communication, technical support, and problem resolution related to product quality, particularly in wiring harness or automotive systems. The ideal candidate will manage technical issues, analyze non-conformance's, and maintain strong relationships with our customers to help drive product quality and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the customer plant and the manufacturing facility.
  • Re-verify parts and input data into the computer system, including the Incident Reporting System (IRS).
  • Perform first-level analysis of non-conformance issues and coordinate containment and corrective actions.
  • Expedite non-conforming materials back to the manufacturing facility same day.
  • Maintain and verify product test equipment.
  • Develop customer relationships within the plant to improve products and support business growth.
  • Monitor and negotiate global customer return parts per million (PPM) rates.
  • Provide technical support and a thorough understanding of systems and processes.
  • Prepare and submit weekly trip reports.
  • Coordinate and support special event activities as needed.
  • Communicate ongoing technical and quality concerns clearly with both customers and internal teams.


Requirements:

  • 6-10 years of related work experience, preferably in automotive or wiring harness environments.
  • Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel, Word, and email.
  • Experience analyzing technical problems and implementing solutions.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to act quickly and effectively under pressure, particularly when addressing urgent quality issues.
  • Experience working with technical reporting systems and conducting root cause analysis.
  • Automotive industry experience is required; wiring harness experience is highly preferred.
