Validation Test Technician

Position Summary


The Validation Test Technician is responsible for executing product validation testing according to established test plans and OEM specifications. This role ensures accurate test setup, data collection, documentation, and reporting while supporting the successful development and launch of products across multiple product lines. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and able to work effectively with engineering teams in a laboratory environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute validation testing in accordance with test plans and OEM requirements.
  • Take ownership of product testing throughout the full product validation lifecycle.
  • Set up test equipment and test fixtures accurately to ensure reliable results.
  • Collect, analyze, and document test data with a high level of accuracy.
  • Prepare detailed test reports and communicate findings to Validation and Test Engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineers to ensure products meet performance and compliance standards.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with Validation Engineering regarding test progress and product performance.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe laboratory work environment.
  • Follow established processes and procedures while meeting testing schedules and deadlines.
  • Adjust work schedules or shifts as needed to support customer requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and maintain thorough documentation.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Reliable attendance and flexibility to support changing priorities.
  • Process-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing or completed Associate's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Electronics, Automotive Technology, Materials Science, Chemical Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Experience working in a product testing, validation, or laboratory environment.
  • Familiarity with test and measurement equipment, including:
    • Digital Multimeters (DMM)
    • Oscilloscopes
    • Power Supplies
    • Arbitrary Waveform Generators (ARB)
    • Signal Generators
    • SEM Equipment
    • Analytical Chemistry Testing Equipment
  • Understanding of product validation, testing methodologies, and data collection processes.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new testing equipment and procedures quickly.
  • Customer-focused mindset with demonstrated initiative and accountability.
