Senior Automation Developer
Overview
As a Senior Automation Developer, the candidate will be responsible for understanding product requirements and delivering automated tests to validate production software. In-depth knowledge of Python and Object-Oriented Programming methods is critical in this role. The candidate will design, develop, maintain, and execute software tests for high-profile products. A solid understanding of vehicle network architecture and knowledge of key infotainment features is desired.
Qualifications You'll Have
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)
Experience:

• 8+ years of advanced professional experience with Software/Requirements Verification projects (Test Suite and Automation solutions for multiple Verification/Validation scopes and Integration levels)
• 5+ years of professional experience implementing test and automation strategies and designing test strategies
• Availability to work in office four days a week

Experience:

• Extensive experience in Requirements Engineering, Electrical Architecture, Software Architectures, or Functional Architectures
• Effective use of:
  • Software configuration management systems (source control, DevSecOps, CI/CD), with the ability to propose enhancements from a Verification perspective
  • Software operations (DevSecOps, Reliability Engineering, observability, support/maintenance, etc.)
• Experience with multiple tech stacks and their verification, including QNX and Android Automotive
• Experience leading agile teams using agile practices with internal Software Design Verification groups, as well as Tier I and Tier II external suppliers
• Demonstrated success creating evolutionary Design Verification architectures and Automation Frameworks with appropriate operational characteristics (scale, reliability, security, performance, functional, release, etc.)
• Experience with modern software development methodologies, such as pair programming, test-driven development, or behavior-driven development
