Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a Financial Analyst will include:

  • Job Posting: Financial Analyst - Rate Case Support
  • 6 month contract w/ potential to extend
  • Charlotte, NC
  • Pay- $49-51/hr
  • We are seeking a dedicated and highly detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join the Rate Case Support team within the Carolinas/PNG and MW and DEF Plant Accounting and Reporting divisions. This position is integral to providing in-depth financial analysis and reporting support, particularly in regard to regulatory filings and rate cases across various jurisdictions.

  • Deliver financial analysis and reporting support for the Rate Case Support function across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Fulfill accounting responsibilities and assignments related to regulatory filings and rate cases.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Regulated Utility Accounting & Reporting, Rates and Regulatory, Finance, and other Asset Accounting groups, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and manage projects with precision, adhering to deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
  • Employ sound judgment and analytical acumen to address complex financial and regulatory matters.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functionalities, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and SUMIFS, to generate data-driven insights and enhance reporting efficiency.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in financial analysis, reporting, or accounting, preferably within regulated industries.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of technical and functional financial reporting and analytical practices.
  • Familiarity with regulatory filings and rate case processes is highly advantageous.
  • Essential Skills
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS) is essential.
  • Analytical Capability: Competence in interpreting financial data, identifying trends, and making well-informed recommendations.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
  • Collaborative Aptitude: Strong interpersonal skills and a cooperative mindset to work seamlessly across departments.
  • Attention to Detail: A demonstrated commitment to meticulousness and thoroughness in completing assignments.
  • Organizational Proficiency: Excellent ability to prioritize tasks and adhere to deadlines in a dynamic environment.
