Job Responsibilities

  • Compensation (Range): $30-$31 / hour
  • Responsible for ordering material needed on production and pre-production build properties. Manage engineering changes. Also leads any escalation calls or activities to resolve part shortages and projected late material.
  • For Pre production operations - this team builds all of the pre production vehicles before they go to the plants for regular production. This team procures all of the material that will be used. We work with engineering, specs, we gather a list of requirements and we issue requests (reqs) for all of the transmitted requirements
  • Material Analyst- This person is responsible for creating the reqs that purchasing uses to issue PO's.
  • Chasis + exterior commodities as well as HVAC. This person would submit the orders for these parts. For every build we send down the line, all of the material analysts have a direct engagement for getting these parts.
  • The other piece of this role will be working resolution or part shortage resolution with the suppliers/engineering or purchasing. Any parts that fall within this individuals scope, if there is a shortage or late the analyst will set up meetings with the supplier to create a resolution plan or push for better dates.


Job Requirements

  • Automotive background would be nice here- not required
  • Experience working in Supply chain pref. in a buyer or procurement role. (2+years)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred - not required(but will be required if they want to go direct eventually)
  • Good strong interpersonal Communication skills + ability to work autonomously.
  • Experience with SAP ordering system would be a +
  • MRP experience would be a plus.
